As a way of introduction, I’m Bill Shuey, a born and bred Missourian (the Show-Me state). I spent my formative years on a cattle farm at Jakes’ Prairie, near the town of Cuba. After high school I spent twenty years in the Air Force, after which I worked in quality control on nuclear power plants, and then started my own business.
Late in life I’ve realized that my passion is writing novels – mostly westerns. Drawing on my childhood in rural Missouri, I have most of my characters starting their lives in that state and moving westward. I felt that explicit sex and vulgar language don’t add anything to a yarn, so I avoid their use.
