The Bounty Hunter - The Legend Begins

This is the story of Peter “Spike” Davis, who leaves his parent’s Missouri farm to find his fortune in the West. By happenchance, he stumbles upon the role of hunting men for the reward on their heads, and discovers he had a talent for tracking, capturing, or killing humans.

He takes some of the reward money he has accumulated, and buys a small ranch in Bent County, Colorado, only to find there are no cows as were promised. While the area lacked cattle, it provided wild mustangs in abundance. He turned to catching feral horses, saddle breaking them, and selling them to Army forts for remounts.

His skills as a man hunter called him back as a bounty hunter when his money is stolen in a Wells Fargo robbery, and he finds he can’t escape the life he is destined to follow.
